​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Rebecca Brown has been a professional public speaker and conference facilitator, delivering workshops and seminars on the topics of PTSD, Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue and Resilience as a consultant with the Tend Academy (www.tendacademy.com) since 2008. Rebecca's dynamic presentations have been highly praised and recommended by police, trauma workers, medical staff, and many others on the front lines who put themselves at risk while helping others.

Certification in Critical Incident Stress Management has provided Rebecca with the skills needed to provide Psychological First Aid following a critical event and mitigate the impact of Occupational Stress and Post Traumatic Stress Injuries.  Rebecca has been granted the Compassion Fatigue Educator designation by the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, and her published article, "When it Hurts to Help a Child", can be downloaded. 

Rebecca is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University.
